About Role:
Finix is seeking an exceptional business development leader to grow and manage Finix’s strategic partnerships with Startup Accelerators and Venture Capital firms. This role will be responsible for defining and executing a partner strategy across multiple domestic and international entities to drive revenue growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner with startup accelerators (ex. YC, Techstars, etc) to embed Finix as the preferred payments solution for their cohorts.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with VC Investors and lead all aspects of deal execution, including prioritization of partners, strategic and financial assessment, transaction structuring, negotiation and implementation
  • Actively hunt for new partnership opportunities within Silicon Valley at events, investor conferences, and networking forums
  • Articulate the value of different payment models and the impact they have on cash flow, IRR, and exit valuation for an investor.
  • Create strategic playbooks with your partners that enable them to qualify, value, and execute, adding payment capabilities to their portfolio companies with Finix.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with senior executives within our partners’ organizations
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities of multiple internal and external constituencies
  • Proactively push product thinking and work closely with product and engineering teams, both internally and externally to build the best experiences for customers
  • Represent partners as their advocate in internal discussions
  • Work on a variety of initiatives with partners including, but not limited to, product partnerships, distribution, and commercial partnerships
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and keep founders abreast of any major updates (positive or negative)

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, private equity, or similar roles
  • Experience working closely with the Tier 1 SaaS and technology companies, private equity firms, and/or payments companies at senior levels
  • Strong commercial orientation, with the ability to initiate, execute, and grow complex commercial relationships while maximizing economic value for both Finix and our partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to speak to different constituencies such as finance, business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Programming or product management experience a plus
  • Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s in Business Administration Preferred.

Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 OTE + Equity + Benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
