As a Mortgage Loan Closer within Zillow Home Loans, you’ll be part of a collaborative group dedicated to driving Zillow’s mission forward by facilitating seamless loan closings for borrowers. This team plays a vital role in helping consumers achieve home ownership, and the Mortgage Loan Closer directly contributes to that success.About the role
As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will prepare closing documents using the Loan Origination System (LOS) and ensure all documentation meets Federal and State compliance standards. You’ll review loan application packages for completeness, coordinate closings with loan originators and external partners, and confirm the accuracy of loan terms and conditions. You Will Get To:
Confirm Closing Disclosure compliance and accuracy.
Ensure LOS records are current and accurate.
Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and title companies to meet loan requirements and facilitate on-time closings.
Prepare closing worksheets and loan documents.
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of customer and employee information.
Positively impact borrowers by ensuring a smooth closing transaction.
Support process improvements and cross-functional collaboration to enhance the closing experience.
Who you are
1-3 years of experience in mortgage loan closing, with exposure to all loan types (Conventional, FHA, VA).
Strong attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects, competing deadlines, and adapt to changing timelines.
Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
Proficient in basic math, including rates, ratios, percentages, and general calculations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work overtime as needed.
