Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between parents, students, and tutoring staff.
- Proactively reach out to administrators/staff/students to assist students in logging into and participating in scheduled tutoring sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor student progress and identify areas of academic need.
- Communicate curriculum updates, modifications, and educator feedback to Teachers/parents with clarity and professionalism.
- Organize and facilitate family meetings, check-ins, and follow-up communications to support academic goals.
- Advocate for students and families by addressing participation barriers and sharing actionable solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, attendance data, and feedback from both families and educators.
Measurable Outcomes:
- Increase student login and tutoring attendance.
- Submit monthly reports on student performance and engagement metrics with 95% accuracy.
- Conduct monthly feedback sessions during PLCs with teachers to ensure tutoring is aligned with curriculum and learning goals.
Expected Salary:
- $24,000 a year salary.
- Gas reimbursement for traveling to the Beaumont/ Port Arthur area.
- Health benefits, after a probationary period (3 Months).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 45 college credit hours completed. Teacher assistant experience can replace this requirement.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or current/past experience working as a certified teacher.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic and culturally responsive approach.
- Basic tech proficiency to assist with tutoring platforms, data tracking, and virtual meetings.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple contacts and data points while maintaining confidentiality.
