👤 Role: Field Representative (Education)

📍 Location: Schools in North Houston (travel to other areas occasionally)

💵 Pay: $15/hour + gas reimbursement. Health benefits after a 3-month probationary period.

Why this role is great

This is a hands-on role for people who want to move out of a repetitive desk job or high-pressure sales job and into work that’s social, active, and meaningful. We train on the tools, what matters most is communication, initiative, and empathy.

💼 What you’ll do

• Be the primary on-site contact between teachers, students, families, and the Papaya tutoring team.
• Help students log into and participate in scheduled tutoring sessions.
• Coordinate with teachers and school staff to monitor student engagement and flag needs.
• Organize brief family check-ins and follow-ups to support academic goals.
• Keep simple records (attendance, outreach attempts, notes) in Google Sheets and send basic email updates.

🤝 Who we’re looking for

• Confident communicator: experience in sales, customer service, office/admin roles, or classroom support is a big plus.
• Comfortable speaking with parents and school staff (often adults), able to build rapport and explain processes clearly.
• Problem-solver who can take initiative and adapt on the spot.
• Basic/intermediate skill with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) and professional email.
• Own reliable transportation (required).
• English required; Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Passion for technology and education — eagerness to learn.

Nice-to-have (not required)

• Teacher aide or classroom experience, college coursework, or prior field/door-to-door/sales experience.
• Familiarity with remote meeting platforms or tutoring platforms.
